Labor Management Cooperation Committees - LMCC
A partnership between the Northeastern Illinois Chapter NECA and IBEW Local Unions, these labor-management organizations are devoted to promoting the union electrical construction industry through a wide range of services that benefit both union and contractor members, including advertising, publicity, and training. National Electrical Installation Standards (NEIS)
This site offers access to the NEIS, developed by NECA to establish quality standards for electrical construction beyond the requirements of the National Electrical code. In partnership with IBEW Locals 117, 150, 461 and 701, Northeastern Illinois NECA provides superior training opportunities at four different state-of-the-art training centers. The most highly trained in the industry, our union electricians complete 10,000 hours of training in the classroom and/or on the job in order to become certified. And it doesn't stop there. Our journeymen electricians continue to update their knowledge with ongoing education on the latest technology, code changes, and safety procedures. The proof of their expertise is in the Certification Card, worn only by NECA/IBEW journeymen and apprentice electricians.

DuPage County Joint Apprenticeship and Training Commitee (JATC)
Local 701 through the DuPage County JATC, NECA Northeastern Illinois Chapter and IBEW Local 701 offer a comprehensive training program. Their five year apprenticeship program consists of 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and a minimum of 900 hours of related classroom instruction. Under the direct supervision of experienced journeymen wiremen, Local 701 apprentices acquire the skills to serve DuPage County as highly skilled union electricians.

Lake County JATC Joint Apprenticeship and Training Commitee
The established training program of the Lake County JATC has provided cutting-edge training for over 50 years. Built in 1993, their state of the art training center in Libertyville features instructors who are not only extensively trained, but also working journeymen electricians. This comprehensive training program ensures that NECA/IBEW contractors and Local 150 electricians have the skills, professionalism, and expertise to power Lake County's most important electrical construction Projects - from large commercial or industrial installations to simple residential service calls.

NECA-IBEW Local 117 Joint Apprenticeship and Training Commitee (JATC)
The NECA-IBEW Local 117 training center has provided top-quality apprenticeship and continuing education classes for over 50 years. Apprentices receive individualized, hands-on and classroom training from instructors who are trained under both the National Training Institute and National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Commitee (NJATC). This quality instruction results in the best possible electrical construction work for McHenry and Northern Kane Counties.

NECA-IBEW Local 461 Joint Apprenticeship and Training Commitee (JATC)
NECA Northeastern Illinois Chapter and IBEW Local 461 established their training program in 1945, and opened the current training facility in 1996. Drawing on decades of experience in the electrical construction industry, the instructors keep IBEW Local 461 journeymen up-to-date in new and changing technology, and enable them to provide quality, state-of-the-art work to meet the expanding needs of Aurora customers.

National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Commitee
The National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Commitee develops and standardizes training to help NECA and IBEW provide the Electrical Construction Industry with the most highly skilled workforce possible.
